Students must present their ID card to check out a computer in the library. Students must use their own user ID and password in order to log onto a computer.
When using the library or any school computer, students will:
- Access educational information only
- Not make purchases online
- Respect copyright laws
- Advise supervising teacher if inappropriate material is found
- Evaluate sources of information found on the Internet
- Not load personal software on district computers
- Not download programs from the Internet
- Not provide personal information when on the net
- Not encourage use of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or weapons
- Not read others’ files without permission
- Will use appropriate language
In addition: Vandalism of hardware (including CPU, keyboard, mouse, networking) and software (including operating system, preferences, autoexec files and application parameters) will not be tolerated. Violations can result in suspension from school, suspension of privileges, and/or prosecution.
