I have been a teacher at North High School for 17 of the 19 years I have been teaching.  I love teaching literature and have had a range of experience, from teaching ELD students who are just learning the language, to teaching Advanced and Honors Introduction to Literature, and now, teaching our IB/AP American Literature Honors classes.  I have also become an AVID teacher, after working for two years to help start up the 9th grade teams.  I love and believe in the AVID program, and know it’s just one more way our school makes a difference in the lives of our students!

In between my schooling, I married and we have a beautiful little red-headed sprite, Madeline, and our new baby girl, Scout Elizabeth.  Needless to say, I am busy, between teaching and the girls!
